Chilly Sunday Chili

This one is easy!  One of my all time favorite meals.  Its perfect through fall and winter but works for this cool spring afternoon as well.  This is one of those recipes I've been making forever so I dont always have exact measurements.  You may need to adjust to your tastes.  I'd also like to add since starting this diet I use fresh beans and the first time trying made WAY too much so I just dumped some in.  You can always add hot sauce to increase the heat if you prefer.

1 lb. hormone free ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans chili ready kidney beans
about 3/4 can beef or chicken broth
maybe 3 tbsp. cumin and 2 tbsp. chili powder
salt or pepper if you need

Cook meat, onion, and garlic in large pot until meat is cooked through.  Then you basically just dump everything else in.  You may want to add the broth slowly and see how much you want.  I like to bring to a boil and then turn down to low add lid and simmer for a few hours.  Best searved with shredded cheddar cheese and sourcream.
